In a space of just an EP and their debut album Lifelines, I Prevail have managed to win over the hearts and minds of a solid chuck of the Australian population…enough to sell-out their entire maiden tour. As they cruised through Sydney, we caught up with the band at Resist Records for further insight into the band that won us all over so damn quick.

Immediately clear is that Australia has already had a big impact on the band, with vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe and guitarist Dylan Bowman pulling declaring their fan-ship for some of our biggest names Parkway Drive, Northlane and Thy Art Is Murder.

Dylan take us on a brief journey if his musical adventure from Sublime’s 1995 self-titled album (the first album he was ever gifted) right up to his current day break-up go to’s Rise Against and Bayside. Meanwhile, Eric wonders in amazement at the store, stumbling upon some rare curiosities and, alas, missed opportunities.

The band’s brief stint Down Under will wrap up in Sydney following a rescheduled show in Brisbane, the result of Tropical Cyclone Debbie.
